don't forget your crazy pills ...

So things stay busy as leisure time focus at The Drizzlecave has shifted into full scale semi-worthwhile bowl watching and viewings of a little something we like to call ATHF v4.0. Never fear though, the lolz concerning the bowl games continue to be brought by the more hilarious among us.

Why are you not watching this right now? Check out eDork, since it perfectly describes a friend of mine who happens to be the only person I know who owns and uses a Blackberry.

In the meantime, I thought I'd steal a page from Doug and post up the current end of the year, list of however many I put on here. Since the end of the Christmas season and the death of a year always leaves me a bit downcast and introspective, the soundtrack of my car rides tends to become a bit epic, so songs under 7 minutes need not apply (sorry Battle of Evermore).

1. OAR - Crazy Game of Poker
2. Wilco - Spiders (Kidsmoke)
3. Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
4. Coldplay - Everything's Not Lost
5. Something Corporate - Konstantine (no homo, seriously)
6. Wilco - I Am Trying to Break Your Heart (ok, so I gave it 2 seconds)
7. Ted Nugent - Strangehold
8. The Mars Volta - Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)
9. Dave Matthews Band - Warehouse
10. Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
11. Jimmy Eat World - 23
12. Neutral Milk Hotel - Oh Comely
13. My Morning Jacket - Dondante
14. Jimmy Eat World - Goodbye Sky Harbor

And I may never do that again, but whatever.

In other news, it's a safe assumption that if Jeff Reardon gets collared for armed robbery and you take 24 hours to say something about it, Ian will have unfortunately already beaten you to the Steve Bedrosian angle. But I still thought I'd add in my two cents, which basically amounts to a phone conversation I had with a friend of mine yesterday where we decided the best conclusion for this entire scenario involved Jeff Reardon being locked up while in fact Bedrosian was the one who had gone stick up kid and is now sitting at home, laughing over his bags of ill gotten gains as Reardon takes the fall.

Bedrock, crafty at places other than on the mound.

Of course I have a special affection for Bedrock since the end of his career with the Braves in '95 dovetailed nicely into the beginning of my high school baseball career, where I was more than happy to keep the tradition of Bedrock's old school knee highs alive. I have a continuing theory to this day that any player will play better sporting negro league style knee highs than he will with the ridiculous baggy ass pants they wear today. Oh and bonus points, because in my junior year, Bedrock became the pitching coach for Newnan High Scool (they were #1 in the state at the time), down where he lived, so I was able to pitch against the man's team, on their home field, sporting the knee highs just for him.
